The Market is located at Rockmosa Park in Rockwood (physical location: on the parking lot behind the Rockmosa Community Centre, 110 Rockmosa Dr., Rockwood ON N0B 2K0).
The Rockwood Farmers’ Market was established in 2015. It is a seasonal Market, and it runs on Wednesdays 4-7 PM, from mid- June to mid-October.
The Rockwood Farmers’ Market (RFM) serves local growers and consumers by providing a venue for local growers to sell their goods and access for consumers to locally grown and produced foods. The RFM also brings the community together and supports community development while supporting local entrepreneurs, and providing training and volunteer experience to youth and adults. You can read more about our governance and structure in our Handbook of Rules and Regulations.
The Rockwood Farmers’ Market is a member of Farmers’ Markets Ontario. We are a true Farmers’ Market, which means that we maintain a ratio of 51% or more primary producers (farmers, who grow or raise their products themselves) to 49% or less secondary producers (those who use local ingredients to make secondary products, including artisans and crafters).
We strive to keep products as local as possible, seeking out the nearest producer to Rockwood that we can find for each product. We try to avoid reselling of products, opting for items that are handmade by the vendors themselves.
